The Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, a small to medium budget museum, is requesting proposals from qualified firms with demonstrated successful experience with the production of museum exhibits. The scope of the project work includes the design, fabrication, and installation of interpretive and interactive materials for an approximately 195 square foot exhibit space on the history of the United States Coast Guard. The Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, a small to medium budget museum, is requesting proposals from qualified archaeological firms with demonstrated successful experience working on Federal property. The scope of the project work includes: an archaeological survey at the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. Work items include conduct research; excavate a maximum of one hundred (100) shovel test pits; conduct GPR testing; curate and provide lab analysis of artifacts recovered; and complete a survey report. The survey will result in the completion of a survey report, conforming to Chapter 1A-46, Florida Administrative Code (FAC), and a minimum of five (5) new/updated Florida Master Site File (FMSF) forms. The Pensacola Lighthouse Association is an organization dedicated to preserving the past to enlighten the future. To keep our story alive for our community, we need your help! We are always looking for volunteers to perform a number of tasks. Our volunteers: 

  • Greet and engage visitors at the top of our historic, active lighthouse tower 
  • Help with special events (field trips, museum tours, etc.) 
  • Aid staff and other volunteers in facilities maintenance 
  • And more!
