Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola has adjusted public visitation hours until further notice. Public access to areas of public interest, including the National Naval Aviation Museum and Pensacola Lighthouse, is available Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Museum and Lighthouse are open to DoD ID card holders daily. The installation is closed to public visitation Monday through Friday. Visitors without a Department of War (DoW) ID must first check in at the Visitor Control Center at the Main Gate, at the south end of Navy Blvd., before proceeding to the West Gate, at the south end of Blue Angel Parkway.
Years of weather and wear have taken their toll on the Pensacola Lighthouse, and each year new repairs and improvements are needed to preserve this longstanding symbol of our earliest days and ongoing successes. By sponsoring the lighthouse through a donation to the “Keeper’s Walk,” you can help keep the light shining and become a part of Pensacola history. Sponsorships for a brass stair plaque on one of the lighthouse’s stairs begin at just $1,000. Several sponsorship levels are available, each with a great package of benefits to recognize your contribution to saving the lighthouse.
There are only 177 stairs, so reserve yours today and help us preserve this unique part of our local and national history.
Roll over the stairs to the right to see if the stair you want is available.
