The Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, a small to medium budget museum, is requesting proposals from qualified firms with demonstrated successful experience with the production of museum exhibits. The scope of the project work includes the design, fabrication, and installation of interpretive and interactive materials for an approximately 195 square foot exhibit space on the history of the United States Coast Guard. Please contact Jon Hill, Executive Director, at 850-393-1561 to request additional information. Successful previous similar experience is required and will be verified. Bid proposals for this work will be received until Friday, November 1 2024.
Years of weather and wear have taken their toll on the Pensacola Lighthouse, and each year new repairs and improvements are needed to preserve this longstanding symbol of our earliest days and ongoing successes. By sponsoring the lighthouse through a donation to the “Keeper’s Walk,” you can help keep the light shining and become a part of Pensacola history. Sponsorships for a brass stair plaque on one of the lighthouse’s stairs begin at just $1,000. Several sponsorship levels are available, each with a great package of benefits to recognize your contribution to saving the lighthouse.
There are only 177 stairs, so reserve yours today and help us preserve this unique part of our local and national history.
Roll over the stairs to the right to see if the stair you want is available.
